oh man!

HI.
I haven't posted anything on here in well over a decade or so, but, i just kind of thought about it and decided that NOW would be the time to do so... UM! updates. Let's see, since the last time i posted on here, im sure a lot has changed. I'm officially going to madtown USA, and im pretty excited. I got admitted to their honors program for letters and science, so thats going to make the big school seem a lot smaller. I got facebook, and im already addicted, but thats how it goes.

Lang is done, and Calc is done, so now theres 2 down and only two more to go, but im not incredibly worried about bio, pretty much everyone got fives on the practice test. im sure we'll all rock the real-life one... briana and i have art history too, but shes amazing at art and will do great. I, on the other hand, am not really artsy at all (even tho that would be really cool, im jealous of people that are)... so art history is going to be a shot for a three. if i pass, ill be a happy girl. if not, lade will chace me down with something, and make fun of me that johnnykins passed and i didn't. john, sarah and i have a bet going hat sarah and i are going to do better because we're going to madison... :)

today we played spoons in calc, but because there were no spoons available we played with plastic knives that blong found us in the cafeteria... playing "knives" sounds pretty cool, when i told my mom she raised an eyebrow. Niemi, altho have the time i dont like her, is probably my favorite teacher now that the ap test is done, just because shes pretty much hilarious.

eeerrrr, yeah, im going to go eat. or drink something. my throat's on fire! :( oh well, stress tends to do that.

Current Events

All of my ap tests are done! Yay! Music theory test was really hard. The dictations were dificult and I totally botched the second sight singing pattern. Oh well. So long as I still pass. I still may be able to test out of some classes at Luther.

All the Concordia people are home! I'm so excited. I really missed them. Brett came in to school today, and he got his wisdom teeth out on monday. He still has chipmunk cheeks. :)

I don't like all this gloomy weather we've been having lately. I want sunshine and 80 degree days.

We're writing songs in music theory as our end of the year project. It's kind of slow going. I know what I want, but I feel like I don't know where to begin really. I'll figure it out soon though.

Believe

So we were watching my old "choir" programs from Baxter Elementary, I decided I really wish I could go back to the simple life of my 2nd and 3rd grade years. Less stress, pressure, and life wasn't as complicated.

Like the 3rd graders in 1997 sang: "I believe in me, and all that I can be."

Clarification

Erik and I are not dating anymore. I'm the reason it didn't work.

Rejection Hurts

I just received a rejection letter from Cincinnati.

Surprisingly I didn't cry

Lang Woes

I was gone from school on Thursday and Friday. I missed tons of work. Niemi was freaking out about absenses. She won't let us ask her what we missed. All of it is due tomorrow. I hate lang.

Shock

Last night Erik and I went to Applebee's for dinner. As we walked in there was a couple sitting at the bar making out hard core. When they finally parted, who was it but Nichole Moore. She came over and gave me a hug then told me she had dropped out of school after three weeks, she dated Jake for about a month, and was in a car accident after the 4th of July.

Where to go?

This weekend I visited Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. The campus was beautiful. Lots of pretty, old brick buildings. The dorms are the best I've ever seen. Each room is carpeted and has personal air control. I sat in on a few classes (the theory was a joke) and after they had a faculty/student concert. I was not impressed with the two faculty sopranos. Too much sliding for my taste. All in all, Simpson is 3rd on my list of schools, behind Cincinnati and Luther.

I received my music scholarship from Luther on Wednesday. I was a little disappointed. I had been getting calls from many of the faculty there saying I would be receiving a substancial scholarship. The $3,250 and $450 for lessons seemed less than substancial. It was the highest music scholarship available. I was imagining more like $10,000, since Weston Noble told me he designates as much money as he wants. There's still hope left though. My financial package may be more promising.

Still no word from Cincinnati yet. Hopefuly soon.

Happenings

I've finally gotten a new cell phone! Bye-bye old school Nokia! Now I have a sleek Motorola flip phone. Definately less bulky.

My audition at Luther went really well! I really liked the woman who listened to me and she gave me a lot of positive feedback. About less than a week later, I got a call from Weston Nobel, the scholarship founder, saying that I'm being considered for the top amount of $$. Needless to say, I was very excited to hear that.

Last night I wrote my "rejection" letter to Concordia saying it wasn't one of my top choices and would not be going to compete for scholarships. I felt like I had led the school on and felt bad for that, but then i thought about it and realized there are probably a lot of people who do the same thing. I didn't feel as bad anymore. I thought I should give somebody else an opportunity to win money for the music scholarship. Somebody else may really want to go there and they would actually use the money, unlike me.

Cincinnati audition in 11 days!

Christmas Break

Man! i wish christmas break would last forever. and ever... Its been good fun so far! on wednesday night i went to raffertys and ate a LOT (imagine that!), and then went home and did nothing (the joy of vacation!). on thursday i had pt, which went well; my last pt is scheduled for next week, and after that its completely up to me to get myself strong again and ready to run! yay... on friday i left for wisconsin. We stayed in stevens point, and my cousin hayley and i went to "fun with dick and jane" which was alright, but rather pointless.

Then on saturday we had the 'radomski family christmas,' and hayley and i once again looked at our surroundings and made the annual pact: we would NEVER bring a guy home to a radomski christmas unless there's a ring involved... because otherwise he owuld just take off running and never look back!!! Heck, im one of the normal ones there, if that puts it in perspective ;) (they all laugh like me too, thats the funny part); i ate a lot and got more bruises from justin and hayley than ive ever gotten (all in good fun, they got some in return...) justin leaves for basic training this next month, and hes gone for five months, so im kind of sad!

On sunday we went to madtown, for the quieter christmas (you know, fancy brunch, wine glasses. at the radomski's is the trays we have at school lunch. yeah, plastic. we break everything.) but that was fun too...

on returning home tho, i got a BUNCH of mail... colleges, you know... all that jazz. but i finally got accepted to UW-Madison, which was really nice! im happy.... i think its down to madtown and gustavus... but who knows, theyre all so pretty!
